Licensing Program

WriterCoach Connection has been working with middle and high schools for more than 20 years to help students develop into critical thinkers and strong, confident writers. Since 2000 we have collaborated with more than 38,000 students and trained more than 4,500 volunteer writing coaches. Recent program assessments highlight the impact of our programs:

72% of students show improvement in writing and thinking skills.

Partner schools provide the following;

  • The program fee is determined after meeting to understand the school’s needs. It is based on the expected size and complexity of the program.

  • Responsibilities include organizing and supervising the program implementation and recruiting volunteer coaches. Serves as a liaison between teachers, school administrators and coaches.

  • You are responsible for recruiting, training and managing the volunteer coaches.

  • Based on the program's size, a Volunteer Recruiter to recruit volunteers and a Site Coordinator(s) to support each classroom might be needed.

    * WriterCoach Connection conducts the first orientation and coach training sessions, and the program manager conducts subsequent training sessions.

Do you want to develop your student’s critical thinking and writing skills?

Bring WriterCoach Connection to your school! We offer a ready-to-deploy package for schools to run their own program in critical thinking and writing using the WriterCoach Connection philosophy, methodology, training, and materials. 

We are currently partnering with Liberty Bell Junior-Senior High School in Washington State. They launched their first cohort with fifty one eighth graders in the spring of 2023 and next year plan to grow their program to 100 students in the fall and 100 students in the spring.
