Solidarity with AAPI
Fred T. Korematsu (1919-2005)
WriterCoach Connection, as an organization and as individuals, condemns racism in all forms and stands in solidarity with our AAPI Communities.
Our core values of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Excellence and Empathy serve as a beacon as we work to support students, educators and schools, to amplify the critical thinking skills and voices of young people. California is dealing with a long history of discrimination and violence against AAPI communities. One of the middle schools we serve — Fred T. Korematsu Middle School in El Cerrito, California — honors this civil rights leader who said,
"If you have the feeling that something is wrong, don't be afraid to speak up. It may take time to prove you're right, but you have to stick to it. One person can make a difference, even if it takes forty years."
